The number of words that Eskimos* have for snow is legendary (and the subject of numerous old chestnuts**). But how many shades of white are there? At least ten times more than you expect the first time you paint a wall, most likely!

The more shades of white, the better, if it helps keep penguins safe from those ravening polar bears...

* Which I suspect has become a politically incorrect term of some sort by now. In which case, apologies to any Artic-dwellers who I've inadvertently upset...
** Hmmm... chestnuts. Now those would go well in all that cold and snow. Roasted, perhaps. Or in little fluffy cakelets, like these...
