Layering Is Always Practical

This struck me as an interesting way to make a tiered cake – a little different, and so much easier to construct. I like that it combines formal and home-made elements – it seems to manage a good balance, I think. The practicality of how it is made is such a good mix with the more individual idea of having a cake like this*. And a tasty looking cake seems so much more celebratory than those fondant-covered buttoned-up affairs, which look beautiful but just don't make you want to save space to eat them...

* And it does seem to be individual - a scout around the interwebs didn't turn up any other tiered bundt cakes...
